READING lacan
Jacques Lacan’s Seminars, read out-loud and line-by-line
This group’s previous reads include:
Seminar VI, Desire and Its Interpretation (2024)
Seminar V, Formations of the Unconscious (2022-3)
Seminar IV, The Object Relation (2021)
Seminar III, The Psychoses (2020)
We are currently reading Seminar VII, The Ethics of Psychoanalysis, and will continue from page 175 on Wednesday 27 May
Note: Lacan in Australia will host a two-night reading/performance of ‘Antigone’ in August, to coincide with Lacan’s extensive analysis of Sophocles play in the latter sessions of his Seminar VII. Rehearsals have begun and invitations to the events will follow.
Free, online, recorded, and open to all

We meet weekly and continuously with a one-week break at Christmas and a one-week break between Seminars.
